Got a Gameologist original for you guys today!

If you’ve walked into a 7/11 or any convenience store in the last decade or so, you’ve probably seen the Game Fuel sodas that Mountain Dew would release every year around this time to promo the popular game at the time, which was usually Call of Duty, but also mainly Halo back in the day. I’ve been playing the new Modern Warfare recently so I wanted to take on the challenge of making a craft cocktail inspired by their drinks. It had to have something to do with Mtn. Dew and I wasn’t just going to through it on top so I made a reduction and went from there. Picked white rum as my base and layered on some fruit and citrus flavors. Of course Blue Curaçao was a great option here for the orange flavor and for the beautiful blue color. The drink came out delicious and about as close to a craft cocktail version of the sugary gamer juice as I could imagine. But after a few of these you might pass out rather than stay up all night gaming 😂

Modern Warfare is the newest entry in the CoD franchise, and the game is stronger than its ever been. This is actually the first CoD game I’ve played in like 5 years and I was a dedicated fan for a long time. But they just got too out there with all the jet packs and mech suits and then the game went to space, I was over it all and it just seemed like the same thing over and over. But this new one is a true return to its roots and what made the franchise great back in the day of CoD 4. They built on that foundation and improved it. It looks gorgeous, the gameplay is fun, has an amazing cinematic like single player experience and the guns feel like, well , guns. I’m glad they’ve returned to their core and I’ve really enjoyed the game so far.
Cheers!
