
1 oz. Dry Sake
3/4 oz. Vodka @paumauivodka
3/4 oz. Pandan Syrup
1/4 oz. Yellow Chartreuse
1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
Sparkling Yuzu Juice

Shake together ingredients except yuzu juice with ice and strain into glass. Top with sparkling yuzu and garnish with lemon peel and drop in a lemon wheel

First off, I just want to say how proud of myself I am for how perfect this drink turned out, considering the two major flavors I was playing with here, I had never even tasted before.
A while back the idea of using pandan and yuzu in a drink was introduced to me by @ripe_mangoes aaaaaaand I finally got around to getting the ingredients and putting the drink together.
The pandan alone totally blew me away. It doesn’t make up a lot of the volume of the drink but the flavor comes through more than any flavored syrup I’ve used. It introduces itself with a slight herbal and leafy taste and then finishes with a delightful crisp sweetness. It’s the first and last thing ingredient you taste in the drink, with the other flavors playing in between, which is pretty unique in my experience. The Chartreuse and sparkling yuzu offer the perfect complimentary pairings and the spirits blended so well 👌
So in case you couldn’t tell…I’m damn proud of this one. If y’all ever want to try something interesting and unique, play around with some pandan. Cheers!
